GiveCamp 2011

Thanks Everyone For A Fantastic GiveCamp in Charlotte!

October 24, 2011

Our first GiveCamp was a great success. This weekend we had over 30 volunteers and helped tackle projects for 7 charities. Thanks everyone who volunteered!

I would also like to especially thank our sponsors: Microsoft, O'Reilly, TechSmith, ComponentOne, DiscountASP.net, DexExpress, Wrox, Outdoor Adventures...  Their generosity kept us indoors, networked, and well fed throughout the weekend!

It was great working together and we hope to build on this and make GiveCamp an annual event here in Charlotte!

Emails have gone out to volunteers who already signed up, we will be forming teams and getting ready for GiveCamp, and we are working on a meet-up for volunteers the week of October 3rd. If you have any questions or problems, contact us and let us know.

    First Ever Charlotte GiveCamp

    June 21, 2011

The first annual Charlotte GiveCamp is set to coincide with the National Day of GiveCamp, which will take place October 21, 22, and 23, in cities all over the country. As part of Microsoft's support of GiveCamp nation-wide, we will be holding the event at the Microsoft offices here in Charlotte.

So what is GiveCamp? GiveCamp is a great opportunity for people to work together, develop new friendships, and do something important for their community!

Are you a developer or other individual who wants to help? Sign up as a volunteer! The more volunteers we get, the more projects we can take on!

Are you a charity in the Carolinas who needs help with a technology project or web site? Tell us what you need! More emails are going out this week to charities, we want everyone who might be helped out by GiveCamp to know about it!
